1. Before using VAIO Edit Components

- Compatibility with Adobe Premiere

This software can only be used with Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe Premiere
Standard, and cannot be used with other versions.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Restrictions

- Software Installation

Please set up this software if Adobe Premiere Pro/Standard is
installed/re-installed. If Adobe Premiere Pro/Standard was pre-installed,
then this software will already be installed and can be used as it is.

- Virtual Memory Setting

A considerable amount of computer memory is required to handle MPEG
and MICROMV files. Therefore, an error may occur due to insufficient
memory while exporting files or the Adobe Premiere may be forced to
close if many MPEG and MICROMV files are used. In such a case, please
increase the maximum size of the virtual memory. If the number of
MPEG and MICROMV files is around 30, please set the maximum size of
the virtual memory to more than 2048 MB. Regarding the procedure to
change virtual memory, please refer to the Windows help.

- Editing MPEG/MICROMV files

Editing an MPEG file or a MICROMV file places an extremely high load
on the computer system. This may result in not being able to smoothly
play back audio or video, interruption of the audio or video, or
sluggish operation of Premiere. Editing MPEG/MICROMV files on
computers with CPU below Pentium4 2.4 GHz is not recommended.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

3. Known problems

- Playback of MPEG files in the Source view and Thumbnail viewer

Because of the limitations of Premiere, playback in the Source
view and Thumbnail viewer may not be proper.
